Meet our 2026/27 management and coaching team

We’re excited to introduce the management and coaching team supporting the Seagals this season.

Bruno is our Manager, with Zoe as Assistant Manager and Coach, Owen as Fitness Coach and Kathrine as Goalkeeper Coach.

Together they bring a huge range of experience to the club. They also share the values that matter to BSFC.

Club Chair JT said:

“I’m thrilled that we’ve got a coaching team who bring a wealth of experience and are aligned with our club values. We are incredibly lucky.”

Bruno, Manager

Bruno joined the Seagals with a clear vision for the team.

JT said:

“Bruno came with a clear vision for playing style, culture building and areas we could improve straight away. We were really impressed by that. Having a manager with his level of experience will help get the best out of the squad.”

For Bruno, resilience is a big part of what he wants the team to be known for.

“I want us to be resilient. We’ll be at the good or not-so-good end of a result, but as long as we are competitive and enjoying playing, the outcome will be the outcome.”

“We can control the controllables and strive to progress, develop and have fun.”

That resilience has already shown on the pitch.

“We never gave up. It never felt like we let our heads down. We can dig up a result. There is plenty of good football in the team.”

The way the squad plays for each other has also stood out.

“The players have the desire to win. Most importantly, they play for each other and support each other.”

“We have a thriving ecosystem within the club. The players feel proud to wear the Seagals shirt, as I also do.”

Zoe, Assistant Manager and Coach

Zoe already knew the Seagals well before joining the coaching team.

She played for the club last season and stepped up as interim manager during pre-season. She also played a big role in building this season’s squad.

JT said:

“Zoe played with us last year and stepped up as interim manager for pre-season. She knew exactly what we needed in terms of player recruitment, and what a squad she’s built!”

“She has slotted in perfectly as Assistant Manager. She has great football intelligence and knows the squad well. I’m excited to see her thrive on the sidelines.”

Zoe is now focused on helping players understand each other’s game.

“We have a strong depth of squad with a great variety of skills. We’re perfecting the ultimate combination on the pitch and encouraging players to learn each other’s playing styles.”

“When the link-up play happens it’s magical to watch!”

Team spirit is just as important.

“One of the first things you’ll notice about Seagals is our strikingly positive team spirit. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of, having been a former player on the team.”

“Every player backs one another throughout the game. That’s especially important in the tough moments when you really need to dig deep.”

“It strengthens our resilience and means players’ heads never drop.”

Owen, Fitness Coach

Owen brings strength and conditioning and nutrition experience to the team.

JT said:

“Owen became the missing piece of the puzzle we didn’t know we needed!”

“Having a coach with an S&C background is brilliant for the team. His friendly and wellbeing-focused approach makes him a perfect fit for us.”

Players are already making use of his knowledge.

“My career so far has been in strength and conditioning and nutrition, so I feel these are key areas where I can make an impact.”

“I’ve already had players approach me with questions, so I know the want and need for support is there.”

Owen is also completing his UEFA C Licence this season.

“I hope I can bring some new ideas in as I learn and grow myself.”

His advice to players is simple.

“I’m a big believer in consistency and communication.”

“We’ve already had conversations around meal and sleep consistency on training and match days. The aim is to make sure players are rested and fuelled to be their best.”

“Focus on the basics off the pitch and you’ll perform well on it.”

Kathrine, Goalkeeper Coach

Kathrine brings more than 20 years of goalkeeping experience to the coaching team.

This season she is working closely with our two goalkeepers.

“I’m very excited to work with each one, identify what they each need to develop and tailor the sessions accordingly.”

She has also invested in some new equipment.

“I did get a new toy this summer, a reaction single line ball deflector, and I’m very excited to use this in my sessions!”

Kathrine’s own experience as a goalkeeper shapes the way she coaches.

“After more than 20 years as a goalkeeper, I’ve seen first-hand that most training materials and coaching styles are made with men in mind.”

She believes goalkeeper coaching should reflect the needs of female players.

“I believe it’s essential to adapt or rethink these methods for female goalkeepers. We have different needs, including differences in height and how we dive.”

“That’s why I place a strong emphasis on footwork and develop tailored drills that fit what my goalies actually need to succeed.”

Player wellbeing is also central to her approach.

“My own playing career ended because of a series of injuries. That experience has shaped my professional approach.”

“We can’t avoid all injuries, but we can take proactive steps. That includes effective warm-ups and addressing small injuries before they escalate.”

“The wellbeing of the players is always my foremost concern.”

Just as importantly, Kathrine wants her goalkeepers to enjoy their football.

“I want my goalkeepers to feel supported and valued.”

“I want them to have fun at training, feel more confident every week and really enjoy being out on the pitch.”

“We share a passion for the game and for goalkeeping. All I want to do is help them grow and succeed.”

A positive start

JT has already seen the impact of the new coaching setup.

“Watching training and our first few matches has been very exciting. Players look like they’re enjoying themselves and feeling really motivated.”

There have been changes on the pitch too.

“Communication has improved and I’ve seen some great patterns of play in attack.”

“We have previously taken a while to settle into games. Now it feels like we’ve got our foot on the gas from the first whistle.”

For JT, that comes back to the relationships being built between players and coaches.

“That’s all down to coaches building relationships early, and players feeling valued and confident in the process.”

There is plenty more football still to come this season.

For now, the focus is simple. Keep developing. Keep enjoying our football. Keep playing for each other.
